Solana Firedancer hits mainnet — the second client is real

Firedancer is now serving 8% of Solana mainnet stake. The client diversity milestone unlocks the next round of throughput improvements.

Solana Firedancer hit mainnet at scale this month — the Jump Crypto client is now running on roughly 8% of total stake. The client diversity milestone is the structural unlock the chain has been waiting on; throughput improvements that were previously gated on single-client risk are now back on the roadmap.

Frankendancer (the hybrid Firedancer-Agave deployment) was the bridge that made this transition smooth. Pure Firedancer share will grow through Q3 as operators get comfortable. The throughput target — 1M TPS sustained — is back in credible territory for late 2026.
