The ARM PC for gaming finally landed in the credible category. Snapdragon X Elite 2 reduced x86 translation overhead to under 8% on average across the Steam top 50, native ARM game ports are arriving from Valve, IO Interactive and Larian, and battery life is in a different category from any Intel or AMD laptop.
The catch is still GPU drivers. Adreno on Windows is not yet competitive with discrete on the high-end. ARM PCs are the right pick for portable gaming under 30W TDP, not for tethered 4K AAA at 144 FPS.
