The 2026 handheld gaming PC field is finally a real product category. Four serious contenders: Steam Deck OLED at $549, ROG Ally X 2 at $799, Lenovo Legion Go S at $699, MSI Claw 9 AI+ at $899. All four shipped publicly with mature builds.

Steam Deck OLED is still the value king and the only one with a dedicated handheld OS. ROG Ally X 2 wins on raw frame rate at 1080p. Legion Go S wins on detachable controllers. MSI Claw 9 AI+ wins on display.
